Verulam Child Welfare recently commemorated Child Protection Month under the theme: Working Together in Ending Violence Against Children. As part of this initiative, the organisation hosted a Child Abuse Volunteer Training Workshop on 28 May 2025, with the participation of 29 dedicated volunteers. The workshop aimed to empower, equip and enhance the knowledge base of volunteers, providing them with critical skills to identify, support, and refer cases of child abuse for appropriate assistance.
This training ensures that more individuals in the community are well-prepared to respond to and prevent instances of child abuse, strengthening efforts to protect vulnerable children. Verulam Child Welfare remains committed to safeguarding children and encourages community members to report any concerns. The chicken packs received from Grainfield Chickens was prepared and meals served to the participants.
