Verulam Child Welfare Society hosted a Children’s Day programme on 31 March 2023. 52 children aged between 6-12 years were invited to spend the day at uShaka Marine World. The children that were invited are from disadvantaged homes and never had the opportunity to visit Durban’s exclusive Aquarium and Dolphin show. The children were treated to a scrumptious breakfast at the Society’s boardroom sponsored by Mr Bilal Dawood and Family.
Tito’s bus transported the 52 children to the destination. Upon arrival there were 2 tour guides that guided the group and gave informative talks on the various sea creatures. Thereafter a tour to the Aquarium and a Dolphin show. The children thereafter enjoyed a sit-down meal at KFC at uShaka. Each child then received a goodie bag with sweets as their families fetched them from the Society.
